New York is located on the Atlantic Ocean

New York is located on the Atlantic Ocean and offers many accessible beaches, such as Rockaway Beach and Coney Island, which combine relaxation, sports, and entertainment. You can swim safely in the ocean during the bathing season, as long as lifeguards are on duty and you check the water quality beforehand. Many of these beaches are located just outside the city, along Long Island, and are easily reachable by public transportation.
